How To Write A Thank You Letter After An Interview - A Simple Formula for Uniqueness

Sending a thank you letter is as important as interview preparation. But they're tough to write, so people either tell themselves that not sending one doesn't matter, or they procrastinate until it's too late and almost pointless anyway. But anyone who tells themselves that foregoing a fundamental rule of etiquette doesn't matter, not only taints themselves in the mind of the interviewer, but misses two additional opportunities to sell.

A thank you letter is an additional sales piece. As I've said before, you're selling a product and the product is you. So beyond the reason of etiquette, the letter sells you as a polite person who recognizes that the interviewer gave them something valuable: time and consideration.

A fundamental rule of sales is to keep the product in front of the buyer and reinforce its benefits. So beyond the etiquette, the letter gives you ample space to comment on what you liked about the company, why your skills are of benefit to them, and how much you're interested. If something wasn't tied up, or was left unsatisfactorily, you should use the space to further address the issue.

When you miss the opportunity to reinforce your skills and tie them to the job requirements, you miss a chance to sell. When you fail to address a concern or answer a question and leave it to fester in the mind of the interviewer, you've failed to overcome an objection. And if a buyer has an objection to the product, if it isn't addressed, the likelihood of the sale is slim.

The third opportunity missed by skipping the thank you letter is the chance to keep your name in front of the buyer. Read newspapers? Watch TV? See the same ads over and over and over again? It's somewhat the same principle - if you keep your name in front of the hiring authority, they're more likely to remember you.

Thank you letters are one of the reasons it's important to take notes during an interview. Not only does it show good attention to detail, it saves you from having to scrunch your face up trying to remember some of the information you learned about the company and position during the interview. Because if you met with three separate people during one visit to the company, that's three thank you letters....three different thank you letters.

So let's look at how to create one of these so that it becomes a less odious task.

First paragraph

Open with the obligatory thank you and include how you enjoyed the meeting. Say why. Maybe the people you met were exceptional. Perhaps their company philosophy was exactly what you had hoped for. Or they need to overhaul a department and you can't wait to sink your teeth into it because that's what you've got a stellar track record of doing. It doesn't matter. Pick something out, and put it down. But make it real.


Second paragraph

What took place during your interview? Pull out a piece of information that pleased you, say what it was, and tell them why. For instance: I was particularly pleased to find that X company/the opportunity/your management style has/was/is/does whatever. This is exciting because...... . You can expand on whatever it is for a few sentences by elaborating: how it relates to something you've experienced and liked -- or didn't like. Discuss a particular aspect of the job you find appealing and reiterate why you'd be successful at it or how long you've been performing it or how similar it is to something you've done in the past.


Third paragraph

You can add a similar paragraph if the second was fairly short. Or you can wind it up if it was a bit lengthy. If there was something that came up that needed clarification or about which they were dubious, address it and clear it up here.


Fourth paragraph

Wind it up. Re-iterate your interest. Be enthusiastic! Leave the job speak behind. If you really want to be hired, let your interest shine through. There's nothing wrong with coming right out and saying, "I'd love to work with X company!"


Caution: Don't start every sentence with "I". It may be the easiest way to write the letter but it's not only repetitive, it's a turn off and egotistical. This process is about you getting a job, but it's about what they get out of it if they hire you.

If you really want the job, the letter will be easy to write because it will contain genuine impressions and sentiments. If you choose to skip the letter, perhaps you don't care if you're hired or not. But make that decision yours and withdraw from the process instead of letting the decision be made for you.

The Best Sexual Positions: The Top 5 Mistakes Most Guys Make

One of the many challenges men have is to decide on what positions to use when getting booty. The biggest fears are that the woman will get bored with the "same old, same old" and as a result lose interest in sex. So the question becomes, what are the best sexual positions?

The best way to explain this is to talk about what NOT to do. With that in mind, I'll now talk about the top five mistakes guys make when it comes to sexual positions, so that way you won't continue making them.

Position Mistake 1: Imitating anything seen in a porn movie. This is probably the biggest reason that guys fail with sexual positions. Inexperienced guys think porn is a good model because they see studs banging beautiful broads, and... well, they just don't know any better. The problem is that sexual positions in those sorts of movies are meant to display a good scene for viewers, not to maximize pleasure for the actors.

And in fact, one of the WORST positions for clitoral and vaginal stimulation is when the woman puts her ankles on your shoulders. With her pelvis bent back that far, she can feel pain in her cervix if you push in too far. Plus it's a position that puts pressure. (If you ever have a chance to go behind the scenes and watch the making of an adult movie, you'll see how quickly the mood gets killed when the actress keeps having to stop the scene to go to the bathroom!)

Position Mistake 2: Trying too hard to keep your weight off the woman, in any position. To a woman, sex is a way to get closer to her man. She loves it when he leans on the underside of her thighs. So here's a tip for you to try... Next time you're having sex with your woman (while you're engaged in actual intercourse, that is), get more of your weight on her. You see, during sex, almost every woman enjoys feeling her man's body pressed hard against her.

So how much weight should you put on her? Make it enough so that after you come, and the sexual frenzy dissipates, your woman will tell you that she feels like she's being smooshed. Of course, do this within limits! If you're on top off her grinding her pubic bone for too long, it can feel painful for her.

But the bottom line is that many, many women like to be pressured by at least some of the man's weight. So save the gentlemanly sex for the royal family's women!

Position Mistake 3: Letting the woman do all the work when she's on top. For virtually every woman, sex is mostly a passive activity. So by being the motionless beta male, you destroy the whole purpose of sex for her, which is to open herself up to you penetrating into her body.

Position Mistake 4: Being a wimp. A lot of guys have read too many "Men are From Mars"-type books and think women like it if you ask permission for everything and let them take the lead. Be the alpha male instead and just "do it." Flip her over, move her here and there. Be aggressive and even toss her about like a rag doll when you want to change positions, and... she'll LOVE it! And don't worry about it. If something is going on that the woman doesn't like, she'll let you know.

Position Mistake 5: Thinking the trickier positions are better. You don't need to be upside down, hanging from a lamp, and doing something crazy. Just be normal. An old standby like the missionary (man on top, woman lying on her back) can be the best sexual position.

Tricky positions are just frustrating for everybody and often kill the mood because there's too much "where should I put my arm?"... and not enough "let's just have fun exploring."

5 Stages of Committed Relationships

Have you ever wondered: Why is our relationship so hard? Things were so perfect when we first met - what happened? Most likely, the answer is that you've left the first stage of your relationship, and have moved into another. But could it really be that easy?

Yes! Most people understand that relationships grow and change over time... but what many people don't know is that they tend to evolve in the same way. There are specific, defined stages of long-term relationships, which offer new feelings, new challenges to overcome, and new opportunities for growth. And if you want your relationship to evolve into one of mutual respect, love and intimacy, it's likely that you'll have to experience all of the following relationship stages at some point or another. Take a look at the description of each phase - do any of this sound familiar?

Before we get started, you should know that most people experience these stages in this order, and will need to resolve the challenges in each stage before they can move successfully on to the next. Of course there are always exceptions to this rule. But for the most part, you can't get out of experiencing all of these stages if you want a healthy and fulfilling relationship. Every couple will move through these stages at different speeds, and most people will experience each stage more than once - it is common to fluctuate from one stage to another.*

Okay, now that I've given you the basic info, let's dig a little deeper....

Stage 1 - The Romance Stage

This is also known as the Courtship Phase or the Fantasy Stage, and can last anywhere from 2 months to 2 years. This is when you and your partner have just met, and everything is absolutely amazing. You can't get enough of each other. Neither of you can do any wrong in the eyes of the other... mainly because you're both still on your best behavior. The focus in this stage is on commonalities - you have so many common interests, you could practically be the same person! You show your partner your absolute best self, and you try to please each other as much as possible. Conflict is seen as "bad" in this stage, and is avoided at all costs. You can't imagine living without this person, so you begin spending as much time together as possible. This is the stage when our defenses are down the most, which allows you to be open to and fall in love. You and your partner are building an important foundation in this stage, so your relationship can grow. There are biological effects as well. When you're in this stage, your body is producing enormous amounts of endorphins, which makes you feel unusually happy, positive and excited about everything in your life (this is that "head over heels in love" feeling!). This is the stage most often portrayed in movies and romantic novels, for obvious reasons. Bottom line - you are happier than you've ever been, and can't imagine ever feeling any differently.

Stage 2 - The Disillusionment Stage

This stage is also known as the Familiarization Stage, or the Adjusting to Reality Phase. This is where you begin to realize that your partner is actually a human being (horror of horrors!). You get to know each other more and more, and as a result you start recognizing their various flaws and shortcomings. You see your partner in relaxed situations, and you become more relaxed as well. Since your body cannot possibly continue to produce the same levels of endorphins that it was in the beginning, those feelings of being on top of the world start to decline. Your partner's little habits aren't quite as cute as they used to be, but there is still enough goodwill from the Romance Stage that you're willing to overlook them. This stage can start to trickle into your relationship slowly, as you begin to see your partner for who s/he really is. Or sometimes it happens all of a sudden, when there has been some sort of dishonesty or deceit. This phase can be confusing and discouraging, since you've just experienced so much openness and connection in the Romance Stage. However, at this stage, your main job is to learn how to communicate and resolve conflict with this person effectively, which is an important skill if you want your relationship to continue.

Stage 3 - The Power Struggle Stage

This stage is also known as the Disappointment Phase or Distress Stage. As the characteristics from the Disillusionment Phase intensify, they become harder and harder to deal with. You will most likely begin to pull away from each other in this stage. At this point, you both still believe that conflict is a "bad" thing, but you are increasingly aware of your many differences. You fight to draw boundaries in the relationship, and as a result even small annoyances become big issues. This is the stage where you define unacceptable behavior, and most couples have occasional or frequent thoughts of leaving the relationship. More and more often, you start to feel like your partner is self-centered or un-caring, or even worse, that they simply can't be trusted. Deep resentments begin to build if you're unable to resolve your issues in a respectful and mutually agreeable way. Many couples get stuck in this stage, because this way of interacting becomes normal in their relationship. This is when it is absolutely necessary to learn to manage your differences effectively - to communicate and work together as a team, even though it's tempting to believe that your partner's sole purpose on Earth is to make your life difficult. Not surprisingly, this is the stage most couples are in when they decide to break up or file for divorce. However, if they are able to negotiate all of the landmines during this phase, they'll move on to....

Stage 4 - The Stability Stage

This is a restful and peaceful time, compared to the last stage. This stage is also known as the Friendship Phase or Reconciliation Stage. Some couples never make it to this stage, but the ones who do find that they have deeper feelings of love, connection and trust with their partner. You now have history together, and most people begin to rely on the predictability of the relationship. As you enter this stage, you begin to realize that your partner isn't perfect, but your personal differences aren't quite as threatening as they used to be. You're able to resolve most of your differences, at least to some extent, and you become more confident in the relationship. Some people feel a sense of loss in this stage as they learn to accept their partner for who they truly are, since this means they have to let go of the fantasy that was established early on in the relationship. But for the most part, the deepening sense of friendship and commitment is a good trade-off for those early feelings of butterflies and excitement. This is also when you begin to re-establish your own outside interests and friendships, which were given up in the Romance Phase. There is some danger that you may begin to drift apart from or become bored with your partner in this phase, so you should try to maintain the connection that was created in the Romance Phase. Overall, this is the stage when you finally begin to feel comfortable and happy with your deepening relationship.

Stage 5 - The Commitment Stage

This stage is also known as the Acceptance Phase, the Transformation Stage, or the Real Love Phase. It is estimated that fewer than 5% of couples actually make it to this stage, according to The Relationship Institute. This is the stage when both couples have a clear notion of who their partner is, faults, foibles and weaknesses galore... yet they make a conscious choice to be with this person in spite of all of those things (and in some cases, because of those things). You are no longer with your partner because you need them, but because you've chosen them, which means the level of resentment you felt in the Power Struggle Phase has decreased, if not disappeared. If you've made it to this stage, you and your partner are a team. You genuinely love your partner, and you look out for their best interests just as much as you look out for your own. Your partner is your best friend. There are few surprises about your partner's habits or character in this phase. You've collaborated to overcome many challenges together, and have grown to accept and support each other without restriction. Your vision for your relationship is in congruence with who you are and what you both truly want. You have discussed your future together - you have similar life goals, and you feel encouraged to define your relationship further. Many couples decide to make a formal or public commitment to each other in this stage (such as marriage) to demonstrate their intention to continue their relationship. This is the stage in which your relationship becomes a true partnership.

For example, when we want to watch movies at home, these video players are evolving. From Betamax era to Blu-Ray, it changes the way people are watching movies at home. Are there any person who uses Betamax until now? I don't think so, because it's already history and may be dumped for sure. Video players are now evolving to a new generation, which may improved the quality of watching movies. But what about cable TV? Do they have the same fate as video players?

It was introduced in the mid-1900's when they start putting their acting and drama on something they can watch over and over again, than watching on the stage and their designated scene. Television was a big advantage to them, because of the film that records every move they have, it can be shared easily on different areas or even worldwide. These people during the early times enjoyed watching TV than reading books, because when applying a story in the book to a film, it is more educational and it gains learning vision for the audience. In the black-and-white era, the audience can watch the film only with those colors. These people are requesting their television sets to become colored, and it took some time until their wishes granted around 1960's. The movies and regular shows watched on their TV are more fantastic because of colored television. But the quality is not good enough for them to watch. It has evolved in the early 90's until we reached the 21st century. In around 2008, high definition cable TV was introduced and it attracts more people on watching people and special effects almost realistic. What could be the future of cable TV in the next decade?

Even movies are already evolving people's minds on watching them for real. High-tech movies like Avatar, Transformers, Terminator and Iron Man are almost realistic when it comes to special effects and background. For the next few years, we could expect that these innovations will be more enhanced than what we're experiencing right now. Everything in this world are changing their momentum that surrounds them. Internet also changed their way when it comes to research things than in books only. Escalators in malls instead of stairs are also a great change. Cable TV also changes the way people are watching, because of many channels than a regular antenna with limited local channels that kids and adults might be bored. Cable deals in any company are improving and a big change as well. Consider that everything in this world may change in the near future, especially the future of cable television will be included for their customer's satisfaction.

Music Interpretation: Emotion and Intellect

Music, one of the great joys in life and the conduit for love, hate, and everything in between. It inspires us to new heights and consoles us when we are at our lowest lows. It gets us hopping when we are out with friends and it comforts us when we are alone. Music tickles our emotions and provokes our thoughts. But how does it do this? What is it about the simple act of hearing a melody that conjures up all these sensations? Why is music so meaningful?

Why We Love Music

There are many reasons why we love music. Clinically, the propagation of sound waves travel through the external, middle, inner, and into the brain where it is processed and perceived by us. This process stimulates the hearing centre in our brains producing sensations ranging from euphoria to great sadness. Music, however, is more than complex chemistry. It evokes emotion through memory and association. A certain person, a certain occasion, a certain occasion with a certain person. The meaning of music is entirely up to the individual and how one perceives it. We are reminded of events of both joy and sadness experienced in life and this meaning is bonded to our heart.

How We Interpret Music

What we think is a result of how we interpret what we experience through our five senses. In terms of music, our ears perceive sound, our brains process the information presented, both musically and lyrically, and we form a judgement from this information. Our thoughts are provoked by some songs and dulled by others. The judgement is drawn from our own life experiences and becomes a reaction to our emotional, intellectual and spiritual interpretation of the music. Though music is a universal language that speaks to all of us through the same medium, interpretation is as widely varied as each listeners' personality.

How Music Evokes Emotion

Emotions, both powerful and mundane, are all conjured up from the same place within ourselves. Fear, anger, love, despair are all potent emotions unto themselves. But when our imagination takes hold and induces the genus planted from the tones, timbres, or lyrics of song, we can be inspired to great heights. Like the way our imagination fills in the blanks of a good book, making us personally invested in the narrative, a song alights emotions that makes our heart sink or soar.

It is our own emotional and intellectual interpretation through both biological and sociological means that makes music one of the great joys in life. It is us that gives music is meaning.

However, Vaishali escapes and reaches Kulu Manali and joins an ashram and turns a sanyasin. Bala finally saves Vaishali from Tambi Durai's clutches and ensure his arrest by the police with the help of MAA TV crew. Allu Arjun's performance is excellent all through the film. He showed good ease in dances as well as in action scenes. He built his body and did a lot of exercise to get a macho man image. He flexed his muscles in action scenes and they were perfectly captured by cinematographer Shyam K Naidu.

In my neck of the woods it would cost me $37.30 per month to get 64 program channels, and if I wanted to get digital channels I'd have to pay an additional $10.95 per month.

Satellite TV

DISH Network prices start at $29.99 for 230 satellite TV channels including 60 Sirius radio channels. DIRECTV prices start at $29.99 for 155 channels including 50 XM satellite radio channels. And both satellite TV providers broadcast all their programming in digital format so you don't have to pay extra for it.

As for price increases, cable fees have gone up 41% since 1998, while satellite TV fees have only gone up only 8%.

Cable TV and Satellite TV Equipment

Cable TV

Cable TV equipment consists of a cable that runs from a main junction box to the cable box that connects to a television. DVR (digital video recorders) cost extra, and basic installation varies from $25 to $75 or more depending on where you live. Where I live installation would cost me $39.95 for one room, and $9.95 for each extra room.

Satellite TV

Satellite TV equipment consists of a satellite TV dish and receivers. DISH Network and DIRECT will give you a free dish and up to four free receivers when you subscribe to their service. Installation is free in up to four rooms of your home.

You also have the option of getting a free DVR so you can record your favorite shows, or a free HD (high definition) receiver so you can watch your shows in high definition.

Cable TV and Satellite TV Quality and Reliability

Cable TV

Cable TV broadcasts some of their programming in digital format and some of their programming in analog format, so picture quality can vary from sharp to fuzzy. Cable TV blackouts average 3% to 5% a year, and in most areas if you have a problem with your service you have to call for help during business hours.

Satellite TV

DISH Network and DIRECTV's blackout rates are less than 1%. And if you do have a problem, both companies have toll-free and online customer service available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

J.D. Power and Associates has ranked DISH Network and DIRECTV number one and number two in customer among all satellite TV and cable TV providers for the last six years. They're also number one and two in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index.

Bottom Line

If you only watch a few shows a week and you can find a cable company that charges less than $20 a month, then cable TV may be your best choice

But if television is your primary form of entertainment, and you're looking for the most programming choices with the best picture quality for the lowest price, then satellite TV is what you want.
